Dis-Chem Pharmacies in the Eastern Cape / Garden Route region is seeking a Pharma Sales Representative. The primary purpose of this role is to enhance the visibility and awareness of the company’s pharmaceutical and medical products, driving sales growth. As a Pharma Sales Representative, you will serve as the key link between wholesalers and healthcare professionals, developing relationships with both new and existing customers to increase sales.
Minimum Requirements:

Matric or equivalent Senior Certificate

NQF 4 Pharmacist Assistant PB (advantageous: Undergraduate)

Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in Pharmacy sales
Advantageous:

Undergraduate qualification in Sales and Marketing

2-3 years of direct sales and detailing experience
Duties and Responsibilities:
Pharmacy Sales and Promotions:

Drive new business opportunities, developing a pipeline of leads and converting them into actual sales.

Maximize sales potential with existing customers to ensure sustainability.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and product developments to identify new sales opportunities.

Work with the sales team to develop and implement strategies, ensuring consistent brand messaging.

Monitor new developments in the industry and adjust sales strategies in consultation with management.

Collaborate with the Coastal Sales and Marketing Manager to create effective business plans and sales approaches for the region.

Assess client needs and present suitable products to meet those needs.

Engage and persuade doctors to prescribe products by utilizing effective selling skills and performing cost-benefit analysis.

Provide product information and deliver samples to healthcare professionals.

Attend sales meetings, training sessions, and symposiums to stay informed and improve sales techniques.

Build positive, trusting relationships with medical representatives to influence decision-making.

Maintain a satisfactory customer call rate, strike rate, and territory coverage.

Negotiate additional display areas and space in line with marketing objectives.
Stockholder Relationships:

Build and maintain in-store and in-practice relationships with key personnel who impact business.

Conduct detailing sessions with doctors, pharmacists, and other stakeholders.
Administration & Reporting:

Ensure all sales contracts and documentation are completed accurately and submitted to the support team.

Investigate problems, prepare reports, develop solutions, and recommend actions to resolve customer complaints.

Keep accurate records and documentation for reporting and feedback purposes.

Prepare action plans and schedules to identify and track specific targets.

Plan and manage work schedules, ensuring timely completion of weekly and monthly tasks.
