Purpose of the Role:
Shoprite is seeking a qualified Pharmacist Assistant (Post Basic) to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will support the pharmacist in dispensing medication and handling a range of pharmacy-related administrative duties. This role is key to ensuring efficient service delivery and exceptional customer care.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with accurate and safe dispensing of medication under the supervision of a pharmacist

Maintain stock control and inventory levels

Manage pharmacy administration duties

Support housekeeping and maintain a clean, compliant environment

Provide excellent front shop customer service
Minimum Requirements:

Qualification: Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant qualification

Registration: Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
Skills and Competencies:

Strong customer service orientation

Sound knowledge of dispensing procedures and systems

Familiarity with pharmacy ordering systems

Advantageous: Understanding of Retail or FMCG operations
