Clicks Group is seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team and support the delivery of exceptional pharmaceutical care and customer service. The role plays a key part in the efficient operation of the dispensary, ensuring legal compliance, excellent patient care, and the achievement of sales and service targets.
The Pharmacist will be responsible for accurate dispensing, customer engagement, and driving core business objectives, including managing stock responsibly and aligning with SAPC and Clicks’ internal standards. This position is crucial to maintaining the company’s reputation as a trusted health and beauty retailer.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide safe and accurate dispensing of medication, including generic substitution, within the legal scope of practice set by the SAPC

Deliver consistent pharmaceutical care in accordance with Clicks’ best practices and good pharmacy principles

Support operational functions such as stock control, housekeeping, shrinkage management, and administration

Collaborate with Pharmacist Assistants and Interns by offering mentorship and guidance aligned with SAPC standards

Implement customer service strategies that enhance patient satisfaction and drive loyalty programs such as the ClubCard

Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, distribution centers, and shopping centre management

Ensure the dispensary operates in harmony with the healthcare aisle and clinic to provide comprehensive customer solutions

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Registered Pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) – essential

Retail Pharmacy experience – desirable

Experience with Unisolve – desirable
Knowledge and Skills Required:

Comprehensive understanding of SAPC regulations and legal compliance

Familiarity with ethical pharmacy practices and professional counselling

Experience in stock, cost, and risk management

Strong planning, organising, and problem-solving capabilities

Effective interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to deliver results while managing stress and working efficiently under pressure

High computer literacy and financial awareness
