FlySafair is seeking a skilled and driven Product Owner to join our Digital Solutions team at our head office in Bonaero Park. The successful candidate will report directly to the Digital Solutions Manager and play a key role in driving digital product delivery, ensuring seamless execution from concept to release.

Job Description

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery and performance of a dedicated digital product stream

• Manage and refine the product backlog, ensuring user stories and designs are clear, prioritised, and aligned to business needs

• Support sprint execution by clarifying requirements and guiding development teams

• Translate the Product Manager’s vision and roadmap into actionable backlog items

• Ensure features and releases align with roadmap milestones

• Provide innovative, creative, and user-centric solution ideas

• Collaborate closely with UX/UI teams to define and support customer journeys

• Validate product increments to ensure measurable value delivery

• Track feature performance metrics and use data-driven insights to optimise features

• Monitor sprint KPIs, including velocity, story completion, and defect rates

• Conduct retrospectives and contribute insights to strategic planning

• Ensure product outputs align with strategic goals and the overall roadmap

• Document user stories, workflows, and acceptance criteria for knowledge management

• Create training materials and guides for cross-functional teams

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (refinement, planning, reviews, retrospectives)

• Coordinate release planning, communicate timelines, and manage risks

• Identify blockers and work with teams to resolve issues quickly

• Streamline delivery processes to increase efficiency and reduce time-to-market

• Facilitate strong communication across multiple business units

• Support the rollout, adoption, and training of new releases

Job Requirements

• Grade 12 / Equivalent (Essential)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (Essential)

• Scrum Certification (Advantageous)

• 4+ years’ experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst (Essential)

• Proven experience in software projects and digital solution delivery

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies

• Expertise in backlog management and user story mapping

• Experience supporting full product lifecycle execution through sprints

• Knowledge of UX principles and acceptance criteria definition

• Proficiency with product and project management tools
