Job Overview:
Rand Water is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multi-disciplinary and multi-project portfolios aligned with our strategic objectives. Reporting to the Programme Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the effective planning, execution, and delivery of high-level engineering projects for both internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:

BTech, BSc, or BEng in Engineering (formal engineering qualification).

Minimum 5 years of proven Project Management experience in managing complex, multi-project environments.

At least 5 years of experience in the engineering sector, preferably in the water industry.

Registered (or eligible for registration) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).

Project Management qualification or certification (Diploma, Degree, PMP) is advantageous.
-
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 standards is beneficial.

Completion of an Advanced Management Programme is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the full lifecycle of multi-disciplinary projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specified quality standards.

Oversee capital programme execution with broad accountability.

Manage project scheduling and resource allocation, ensuring operational efficiency across internal and external stakeholders.

Minimise environmental impact and promote Preferential Procurement and development targets.
Required Knowledge:
-
Proficiency in Project Management software, including SAP Project Systems, Enterprise Project Management tools, and MS Excel.

Strong understanding of project and programme management frameworks, contract management, risk management, and compliance with industry regulations (including CIDB and water sector legislation).
