Job Description

As a Revenue Manager, you will be accountable for the development and delivery of data-driven portfolio and pricing recommendations to the Managing Director and Customer Marketing Managers. These recommendations will be based on in-depth analysis of internal business and external market/competitor sales, pricing, and profit dynamics. Additionally, you will be responsible for pricing administration, tracking pricing compliance, and alerting the business to any deviations and their associated commercial implications.

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Decision Tools & Analytical Modelling: Integrate multiple data sources to create robust decision-making tools and models, providing the business with ongoing, sophisticated revenue management (RM) tools and analytical modelling. This will include conducting profit waterfall analyses, price elasticity calculations, competitor pricing intelligence, and customer profitability evaluations.

  • Portfolio Optimisation: Conduct regular and ad-hoc analyses of portfolio performance against strategic KPIs to identify opportunities for rationalising under-performing products. You will also support price/pack architecture initiatives to map the brand portfolio and identify gaps for competitive offerings. Scenario modelling will be conducted to support innovation business cases, determining optimal pack sizes, price points, launch promotion plans, and volumetric assumptions.

  • Customer Profitability: Perform routine and ad-hoc analyses of customer performance against agreed KPIs, guiding decisions on resource allocation and financial investments made towards customers.

  • Price Promotions & Increases: Collaborate with Shopper & Trade Marketing and Customer Managers to optimize promotional mechanics and pricing strategies by channel, cluster, and customer. This will help secure a competitive share of voice (SOV) while driving brand switching and profitability. Support the financial planning of price increases through scenario modelling, tracking competitor responses, and ensuring timely implementation.

  • Commercial Arguments: Provide fact-based commercial inputs for trade development, supporting innovations, campaigns, and promotional pricing recommendations.

  • Pricing Administration & Compliance: Work closely with Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure that pricing accruals are accurately calculated and executed in line with approved strategies. Ensure that compliance gaps are identified and promptly addressed to minimize commercial impact.

Qualifications

What You Need to Bring

  • Intellectual Curiosity & Analytical Capability: Build and maintain decision-making tools, utilizing a comprehensive analysis of multiple data sources.

  • Creativity: Ability to identify price and portfolio opportunities and develop actionable recommendations from often incomplete or conflicting information.

  • Business Savviness: Understanding of the implications of price changes and SKU listings on both shoppers and customers.

  • Proactiveness: Strong drive to source, structure, and analyze data from multiple sources, and execute revenue management activities effectively.

  • Change Management: Ability to challenge senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, gaining buy-in for revenue management practices.

  • Experience: 3–5 years of revenue management experience, preferably within the FMCG industry, and 3 years of experience in building and maintaining decision tools. Financial and commercial aptitude is essential. Sales or marketing experience is beneficial but not required.

  • Preferred Qualifications: A Master’s degree in Economics or Business Administration.
