Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and sell armed monitoring and response agreements, providing valuable security solutions to customers.

  • Drive sales of alarm system upgrades, CCTV systems, electric fences, and other products to meet the evolving needs of clients.

  • Consistently exceed monthly sales targets by taking a proactive approach and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous sales experience with a proven track record, preferably in capital goods sales, demonstrating the ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

  • Knowledge of intruder detection systems such as IDS, DSC, AJAX, or similar alarm systems is advantageous.

  • A Matric or equivalent qualification.

Job Requirements & Attributes

  • Self-motivated, energetic, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment.

  • Exceptional selling skills with strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to engage effectively with customers.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, email, and internet usage.

  • A professional appearance and demeanor, along with a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

  • A proactive attitude, seeking new business opportunities with a passion for electronic and technical equipment.

Duties

  • Generate and close sales, leveraging both self-sourced and internal leads.

  • Build and nurture relationships with estate agents, builders, architects, and other key stakeholders to drive business growth.

  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports to track progress and ensure targets are met.

  • Maintain administrative responsibilities related to sales with attention to detail.

Performance Standards

  • Achieve revenue and sales targets while acquiring new clients and maintaining relationships with existing clients.

  • Follow up on leads and quotes in a timely manner to maximize conversion rates.
