Fidelity Vacancies – Security Manager

Position Overview:
Fidelity is seeking an experienced Security Manager to oversee security operations at a prominent retail site in Cape Town. Reporting to the Regional Manager and Operations Manager (Client), this leadership role is crucial for managing the on-site security team, ensuring compliance with business processes, and driving performance improvements within the Security division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the entire security team on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with business processes and security protocols.
  • Drive performance improvements within the Security division.
  • Conduct risk identification and analysis.
  • Prepare professional reports and conduct investigations.
  • Manage CCTV monitoring and control room operations.
  • Maintain effective communication with senior management and operational staff.
  • Motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve company objectives.

Compulsory Requirements:

  • PSIRA Grade A registration (Compulsory)
  • Minimum of 5 years Retail Security experience (Compulsory)
  • At least 8 years of experience as a Site Security Manager (Compulsory)
  • Matric Certificate (Compulsory)
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • Own reliable transport
  • Experience in investigations and report writing
  • No Criminal Record
  • Reside in Cape Town

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Security Management or equivalent (Advantageous)
  • SAPS and/or Military background (Advantageous)
  • IT knowledge related to security systems (Advantageous)
  • Experience in EOB (Electronic Operating Board)
  • Knowledge of OHS&E (Occupational Health, Safety & Environment)
  • Familiarity with the Criminal Procedure Act
  • Background in Training and Development
