Fidelity Vacancies – Security Sales Consultant – East Rand

The New Business Development department at Fidelity is seeking a Security Sales Consultant in the East Rand area. The main purpose of this position is to actively seek new business opportunities through networking, foster strong client relationships, and maintain and grow the existing client base by offering comprehensive risk mitigation solutions.

The role involves designing, costing, proposing, and presenting integrated security solutions to both new and existing clients, covering the full spectrum of services, including the company’s commercial and group offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for client growth and increasing turnover through both existing and new clients.

  • Meet revenue targets by achieving set sales goals, which may vary as per business requirements and management discretion.

  • Secure profitable new business and attend to potential clients across designated areas.

  • Address and resolve client queries in a timely and satisfactory manner.

  • Conduct physical site surveys to assess security requirements.

  • Design and cost comprehensive security solutions, including proposals and quotations.

  • Ensure that quotations are submitted promptly to clients.

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients.

  • Plan, budget, and coordinate to meet clients’ security needs.

  • Assist with marketing-related activities and issues.

  • Submit weekly and monthly management reports.

  • Acquire detailed knowledge of industry trends and competitor activities.

  • Ensure all contracts and quotations are accurate and complete with necessary technical addendums and drawings.

  • Submit all paperwork timely to facilitate the sourcing of non-standard stock items.

  • Sell only approved equipment in line with company policies.

  • Identify sales opportunities, including extensive cold calling, to maximize growth within specific markets.

  • Ensure timely submission of proposals and quotations to clients.

  • Continue to build and maintain professional relationships with clients.

  • Plan, budget, and address clients’ security requirements effectively.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Sales diploma or equivalent qualifications.

  • Proven track record in sales, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.

  • PSIRA grading will be an advantage.

  • 3-4 years of experience in sales within the security industry.

  • Fully bilingual; additional languages will be an advantage.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Capable of working under pressure and extended hours if required.

  • Previous experience in the security industry is a distinct advantage.

  • Full proficiency in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Professional and well-presented at all times.

  • Clear criminal record and no pending legal cases.

  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.

  • Prepared and willing to travel.

  • Reside in the East Rand area.
