Clicks Group is looking for a customer-focused Shop Assistant / Cashier to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a great customer experience through efficient point-of-sale operations and professional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out all sales-related activities at the till point efficiently and accurately.

• Scan merchandise and process payments with a high level of accuracy while handling all transactions securely.

• Promote and process Clicks Clubcard memberships and benefits to grow loyalty participation.

• Inform customers of current promotions to drive sales and enhance the shopping experience.

• Provide excellent customer service by acting as a brand ambassador and maintaining a professional presence on the shop floor.

• Ensure the store’s merchandising and housekeeping standards are consistently met.

• Stay informed on product offerings, promotions, and store events to assist customers knowledgeably.

• Contribute to Clicks’ goal of becoming the first-choice health and beauty retailer by demonstrating the company values.

Knowledge Requirements:

• Basic mathematical calculations

• Understanding of merchandising and promotional practices in a retail/FMCG setting

• Familiarity with stock control procedures

• Strong knowledge of customer service principles

Experience and Qualifications:

• Essential: Grade 12

• Desirable: Grade 12 with 50% in Maths and English

• Desirable: Experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or FMCG environment
