Job Role
The Social Media Specialist will join a dynamic marketing team and act as the primary point of contact for the online community and digital stakeholders. This role is responsible for creating, publishing, and managing content across multiple platforms, analysing performance, and engaging with customers through strategic, consistent communication. Close collaboration with Marketing and Contact Centre teams is essential to strengthen brand presence and digital engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy and Execution

Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with overall business objectives.

Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and best practices.

Manage organic and paid social media campaigns, tracking KPIs and optimising performance.
Content Creation and Calendar Management

Contribute ideas and input to create engaging, visually compelling content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp, and others.

Develop and maintain a structured social media content calendar to ensure consistent posting.

Collaborate with designers and content creators to finalise content for campaigns.

Coordinate and support live social media coverage for events and campaigns, including travel when required.
Community Engagement and Customer Interaction

Actively engage with online communities by responding professionally to comments, messages, and reviews.

Monitor sentiment and customer feedback, collaborating with Customer Care to maintain accurate FAQs and responses.

Manage direct messages and bot-based interactions across social platforms, including WhatsApp.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting

Track key performance metrics such as engagement, reach, and sentiment using analytics tools.

Prepare reports and provide insights with recommendations for optimisation and future campaigns.

Support crisis communication with timely and well-considered responses.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Influencer Relations

Partner with Marketing, Product, and Customer Care teams to align social media activities with business goals.

Build and manage influencer relationships to amplify campaigns and extend brand reach.
Event Coverage and Content Innovation

Coordinate and execute social media coverage for events to increase brand visibility.

Stay informed on social media trends, tools, and innovations to keep content relevant and impactful.
Job Requirements

Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Social Media Specialist or similar role, preferably within Fintech or mass-market environments.

Strong knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.

Excellent written communication skills for social content, FAQs, and customer engagement.

Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools, as well as Microsoft Office.

Ability to contribute insights and direction to the development of original content and innovative campaign ideas.
