Flysafair is looking for a skilled and innovative Solutions Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and future-ready digital solutions that align with business objectives and technical standards. This role is critical in driving the company’s digital transformation strategy by delivering architectural excellence and collaborating across functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design robust, scalable digital solutions that meet current business needs and future growth

• Innovate and propose feasible technical solutions to complex business challenges

• Develop architectural blueprints, technical documentation, and integration strategies

• Align proposed business solutions with the organisation’s architectural frameworks and technology standards

• Work with cross-functional teams to identify the most appropriate technologies and approaches

• Translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical solutions

• Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to evaluate and integrate external systems

• Serve as a technical advisor on projects, keeping up with emerging technologies and applying insights to drive innovation

• Lead technical discussions, conduct design reviews, and ensure high-quality, reliable deliverables

• Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for technical challenges

• Support project teams in integrating new solutions with existing platforms

• Implement best practices in secure coding, data protection, and identity management

• Maintain thorough documentation of architectural decisions and project-related information

• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (essential)

• Postgraduate or master’s degree is beneficial

• At least 8 years of IT experience with a strong background in Solutions Architecture (essential)

• Proven experience in cloud computing, SaaS, and PaaS environments (essential)

• Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation and innovation projects

• Deep expertise in systems architecture and digital strategy
