Job Description: The Sourcing Co-ordinator at Miladys plays a pivotal role in supporting the sourcing team by providing administrative and operational assistance. This position ensures the efficient procurement of merchandise and management of supplier relationships, aligning with the company’s merchandise strategy to deliver optimal value, quality, and lead times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supplier Performance Analysis: Assist in monitoring and analysing key metrics across the sourcing value chain to evaluate supplier performance and identify potential risks or opportunities.

• Sourcing Strategy Support: Contribute to the development and implementation of short- and long-term sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and merchandise direction.

• Supplier Relationship Management: Support the building and maintenance of strategic supplier relationships, ensuring new vendors understand and adhere to company requirements, policies, and procedures.

• Procurement Assistance: Aid in procuring merchandise at optimal total cost without compromising on quality and timelines, through negotiation, volume bundling, and fabric optimisation.

• Critical Path Management: Assist in managing the critical path up to the handover of goods to the forwarder, ensuring on-time delivery and correct product execution.

• Product Development Research: Support the identification of new product and fabric developments in the global market and assess their adaptability for the local market to remain customer-relevant.

Qualifications:

• Education: Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent. A relevant degree or diploma in Procurement, Sourcing, or Clothing Management is advantageous.

• Experience: 1-2 years’ experience within product sourcing or a related field.

• Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Understanding of product construction, fabrics, materials, and manufacturing processes.

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Awareness of ethical and social compliance standards.

  • Commercial acumen and business understanding.
