Standard Bank Careers – Specialist, Cash Threshold Reporting
Standard Bank is looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Specialist Cash Threshold Reporting professional to join the Group Anti-Financial Crime team. This role is based in South Africa and focuses on the oversight and management of Cash Threshold Reporting (CTR) and International Funds Transfer Reporting (IFTR) across the group.
As a subject matter expert, you will act as the technical business owner of CTR and IFTR in South Africa. You will be responsible for interpreting regulations, designing and implementing compliant processes, managing performance, and ensuring robust governance. The objective is to maintain full compliance with financial crime legislation and protect the business from fines, penalties, operational losses, and reputational risk.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology

Postgraduate Degree in Information Technology

Master’s Degree is advantageous
Experience Requirements

3–4 years’ experience in Cash Threshold Reporting and International Funds Transfer Reporting

Strong background in data analysis, value chains, and understanding of banking products, systems, and processes

Project management experience, with proven ability to design, implement, and monitor compliance-related processes

Previous collaboration with developers and support teams to manage data-driven systems

Proficiency in SQL, data visualisation tools, scripting, and programming
-
Knowledge of advanced analytics and statistical techniques to derive insights from large datasets

Experience in interpreting regulatory environments and influencing stakeholders across multiple regions

Own and manage end-to-end CTR and IFTR processes for the South African market

Ensure regulatory requirements are interpreted correctly and built into operational processes

Design and optimise processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
