Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Store Driver with a valid car and motorbike license for the Wonderpark store. You will be responsible for ensuring timely, safe, and professional delivery of goods to customers.
Minimum Requirements:
Essential:

Grade 12 / Matric
-
Valid driver’s license (Motorbike and Car)

Willing and able to work retail hours and/or shifts

Job Description:

Safely transport products to customers in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
-
Be open to learning and performing various dispatch functions.
-
Ensure correct products are delivered to the right customer within the specified time frame.
-
Prioritize fridge line deliveries and ensure they are transported using cooler boxes and cold packs.
-
Use the shortest and most efficient route to customers and return to the store.
-
Return to the store immediately after delivery to maximize vehicle utilization for additional deliveries.

Repack the vehicle after each delivery to prevent damage to stock or the vehicle.
-
Be fully accountable for any damages or losses during the delivery process.

Handle fragile and hazardous items with extra care during delivery.
-
Comply with company standards of efficiency and accuracy.
-
Follow delivery and pickup instructions from the manager.
-
Ensure all collections, store returns, and inter-branch transfers are properly checked, signed for, and returned to the receiving area.

Ensure all delivery paperwork is signed upon delivery and report any discrepancies to the manager.

Ensure customer details (names and addresses) are correct.
-
Maintain an accurate delivery log, ensuring all invoices are recorded correctly.

Comply with the company vehicle policy at all times and maintain an accurate vehicle logbook.

Process payments for transactions via EFT or cash.

Ensure the vehicle is never left unattended during delivery.
-
Keep the vehicle clean and washed.
-
Inspect the vehicle for defects before, during, and after trips, and report any concerns to the manager.

Report any accidents or incidents involving the vehicle or company equipment.

Adhere to the road traffic rules and regulations as per the National Road Traffic Act.

Be responsible for any traffic fines related to the vehicle.

Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, management, and staff.

Ensure professional behavior when interacting with customers and provide feedback on customer complaints or compliments to management.
