Pepkor is looking for a skilled and motivated Store Manager to lead store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and drive sales performance. This role requires a hands-on leader with retail experience who can manage staff, maintain operational standards, and ensure the store achieves its business targets.
The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing customer service, assisting customers at tills, and guiding product selection to increase basket value. Ensuring merchandise is correctly displayed and replenished, as well as maintaining proper ticketing and visual merchandising standards, is essential. The role includes supervising staff, supporting with daily operations, and completing administrative tasks such as daily banking and inventory management.
Candidates must have a Grade 12 qualification and NQF level 4 in Wholesale and Retail Operations. A minimum of three to five years of retail experience in a Supervisor or Assistant Manager role is required. Strong computer literacy and effective communication skills are critical for success in this role.
Key responsibilities include achieving sales budgets, managing merchandise effectively, ensuring adherence to stock loss procedures, supporting financial and administrative functions, and maintaining accurate stockholding in line with company policy. The Store Manager will also play a key role in supporting HR processes and ensuring The Base equipment is secured and accounted for.
