Mr Price is looking for an experienced and driven Store Manager to lead operations at our Knysna Mall location. This is an opportunity to take full responsibility for the daily performance of the store, ensuring that all objectives—sales, customer experience, and operational excellence—are not only met but exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Management
You will be responsible for overseeing the receiving, unpacking, and merchandising of stock, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company standards. Proactive stock level monitoring is essential to mitigate risks such as shrinkage and to ensure availability. You will authorize returns, write-offs, and other stock-related processes, and maintain the stockroom according to housekeeping protocols.

Sales Growth and Profitability
Using sales and profitability reports, you will collaborate with your management team to implement effective action plans. Your focus will be on optimizing store performance, managing expenditures, and identifying innovative opportunities to boost sales and enhance the brand presence within the market.

Risk Management
A core part of your role will involve conducting regular compliance checks to ensure all store activities align with company policies and procedures. Your vigilance will support loss prevention and operational integrity.

Customer Experience
You will ensure that all customer experience initiatives are consistently executed. This includes implementing promotions, markdowns, visual merchandising, customer feedback loops, and overall store presentation. Your goal is to provide a seamless and engaging shopping experience.

Leadership and Development
As a Store Manager, you will lead by example—driving your team to achieve performance targets while fostering a high-performance culture. You will identify training and development needs, support succession planning, and manage performance according to company policy.

Innovation Implementation
You will be tasked with executing innovation initiatives from Head Office, aimed at improving the in-store experience and enhancing operational processes.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

  • 3 to 5 years of retail store management experience

  • Proven track record in sales and service management

  • Budgeting and financial acumen

  • Strong MS Office proficiency

  • Effective communicator with a solid grasp of the retail landscape, customer engagement, and brand strategy
