Pepkor is offering an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Store Manager at Tekkie Town, Dr. Pixley Street, where you will be leading a team of staff. This role reports directly to the Area Sales Manager of Tekkie Town. The ideal candidate should be based in Durban or surrounding areas.
As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store to maximize profitability. Your key responsibilities will include achieving and surpassing monthly sales targets, minimizing stock losses, managing expenses, and leading the store team effectively.
Qualifications

Grade 12 / Matric

Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

At least 2 years of experience in a management role

Fluent in English (both written and verbal) and another official South African language

Strong interpersonal and selling skills

Strong analytical and logical thinking abilities

High energy levels and a performance-driven mindset to meet and exceed sales targets

Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills

Ability to remain flexible, maintain a positive attitude, and perform well under various circumstances

Ability to work independently and as a team player

Strong leadership and organizational skills

Own transport and a valid driver’s license would be an advantage
Key Responsibilities

Manage turnover and budgets, ensuring that sales targets are met

Ensure store administration aligns with Standard Operating Procedures

Maintain stock losses under the benchmark

Implement promotions, visual merchandising principles, and store standards

Stay updated on trends and stock replenishment processes

Ensure brand standards are implemented and maintained according to customer expectations
-
Play an active role in succession planning, coaching, and developing your team

Ensure all employees adhere to company policies and procedures

Foster and promote the Tekkie Town culture and values within the store
-
Be responsible for opening and closing the store
