We are excited to invite you to join the Mr Price Group Store Manager Talent Pool for our Mr Price Cellular stores! By becoming part of this talent pool, you will be among the first to be considered for upcoming Store Manager positions at Mr Price Cellular in Free State.

The Store Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of a Mr Price Cellular store to ensure that store objectives, targets, innovation initiatives, and customer service standards are consistently met and exceeded.

Responsibilities

Stock Management:

  • Ensure accurate receipt, unpacking, and merchandising of stock to replenish the store.

  • Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes, including stock counts, stock takes, and stock loss action plans to minimize risk and ensure sufficient stock levels.

  • Maintain the stockroom in accordance with housekeeping standards.

  • Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, out-of-box failures (OBF), cellular repairs, and returns.

Sales Growth & Profitability:

  • Analyze sales and profitability reports and collaborate with management on operational action plans to enhance sales performance and control store expenditure.

  • Monitor product performance in-store and provide feedback to the support center to drive sales improvements.

  • Identify and propose new opportunities to boost sales and brand awareness through in-store marketing, competitor analysis, and other strategies.

  • Drive the performance of credit, insurance, mobile, and cellular products to achieve budget goals.

Risk Management:

  • Conduct compliance checks through various processes (e.g., admin checks, store audits, visual audits, COMO reports, POS reports, health & safety standards, weekly hanger counts, and security) to ensure adherence to policies and procedures.

Customer Experience Management:

  • Implement and maintain customer experience processes, including business instruction letters, markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer feedback, and general housekeeping to ensure excellent customer service standards.

Leadership & Development:

  • Lead and motivate the store team to achieve KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.

  • Identify and drive training, coaching, and development needs, with a focus on talent management and succession planning.

  • Manage recruitment, performance, and administration in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Innovation:

  • Implement innovation initiatives from Head Office (Mpos, MRP Empower, E-docs, Money Hub) to enhance the customer experience and streamline in-store processes.

Qualifications

  • NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent.

  • 3 years of experience in a store management position.

  • Experience in sales and service management, budgeting, computer literacy, and communication.

  • Knowledge of retail trade, brand management, customer service, cellular, mobile, new accounts, and insurance products.
