Pepkor Vacancies – Store Manager – Northern Cape

Tekkie Town, a division of Pepkor, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Store Manager to join the team in Taung. This position will report directly to the Area Sales Manager and will involve leading a dynamic team to drive the store’s success.

As a Store Manager, your primary responsibility will be overseeing store operations to ensure the branch maximizes profitability. This includes achieving and surpassing monthly sales targets, minimizing stock losses, managing expenses, and providing effective leadership to the team.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 / Matric

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a management role

  • Fluent in English and at least one other official South African language

  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills

  • Ability to think logically and analytically

  • High energy levels and a performance-driven attitude to meet and exceed targets

  • Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills

  • Ability to remain flexible and maintain a positive attitude in various circumstances

  • Capacity to work independently as well as within a team

  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities

  • Own transport and a valid driver’s license is an advantage

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and ensure turnover and budget targets are met

  • Ensure store administration aligns with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Maintain stock loss management below the benchmark

  • Implement promotional campaigns, visual merchandising, and maintain store standards

  • Stay updated on the latest stock trends and manage the unpacking process

  • Ensure brand standards are adhered to and maintained to meet customer expectations

  • Play an active role in succession planning, coaching, and developing the store team

  • Ensure all employees follow company SOPs

  • Foster and promote Tekkie Town’s culture and values within the store

  • Responsible for opening and closing the store
