Mr Price is looking for a dedicated and results-driven Store Manager to oversee the operations of the Sheet Street store in Fochville. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving store targets, driving customer satisfaction, and leading a team to deliver exceptional in-store performance.

Responsibilities

Stock Management

• Ensure accurate receiving and unpacking of stock to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.

• Maintain optimal stock levels through regular stock counts, stock takes, and implementation of stock loss action plans.

• Oversee stockroom organization and housekeeping standards.

• Approve write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.

Sales Growth and Profitability

• Analyze sales and profitability reports to inform operational action plans and improve store performance.

• Monitor product performance and provide feedback to the support team to support sales growth.

• Identify and implement strategies to drive sales and increase brand awareness through local marketing, competitor analysis, and customer acquisition initiatives.

Risk Management

• Conduct compliance and audit checks including administrative, visual, and health and safety standards to ensure adherence to company policies.

• Monitor weekly security metrics and address areas of concern.

Customer Experience Management

• Implement and manage processes to ensure an excellent customer experience, including promotions, pricing, markdowns, and visual merchandising.

• Maintain high standards of store cleanliness and customer service.

Leadership and Development

• Lead the team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and execute the operational strategy.

• Identify training needs and implement coaching and development plans with a focus on succession planning.

• Recruit, manage, and evaluate staff in line with company policies and performance guidelines.

Qualifications

• Grade 12

• Minimum 3 years of store or assistant store management experience, ideally within a similar retail environment

• Proven experience in sales and service management

• Strong budgeting and analytical skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Sound understanding of retail trade, brand, customer behavior, and product knowledge
