Mr Price Vacancies – Store Manager Sheet Street Monument Centre Standerton

Sheet Street is looking for an experienced and driven Store Manager to lead operations at our Monument Centre store in Standerton. The ideal candidate is a strong team leader who can manage daily store functions, meet performance targets, and deliver an exceptional customer experience while ensuring all company standards are upheld.

This role is key to ensuring effective store operations, maximizing sales, and leading a motivated, customer-focused team.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Management
Receive and unpack stock accurately, ensuring the sales floor is consistently replenished. Monitor stock levels through regular counts and loss control practices, and maintain an organized, clean stockroom. Authorize returns, breakages, write-offs, and recalls.

Sales and Profitability
Use sales and profitability reports to guide in-store decision-making. Work closely with support teams to optimize performance, control expenses, and identify opportunities for growth, including in-store marketing and community engagement.

Risk and Compliance
Perform regular checks across store processes, from audits to health and safety standards, to ensure full compliance with company policies. Proactively manage risks such as stock loss or procedural gaps.

Customer Experience
Implement customer service processes across the store, ensuring execution of visual merchandising, promotions, repricing, and markdowns. Maintain a welcoming environment and high service standards at all times.

Team Leadership and Development
Lead the team to achieve store KPIs and foster a culture of accountability and excellence. Identify development needs, manage training, and support succession planning. Handle recruitment, onboarding, and performance management in line with internal policies.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Grade 12

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Store or Assistant Store Manager role within a similar retail environment

  • Strong knowledge of sales, customer service, and store operations

  • Budgeting and expense control skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities

  • Understanding of retail operations, customer profiles, and brand strategy
