Pepkor is looking for a motivated and experienced Supervisor to join our team. The primary focus of the Supervisor role is to support the Store Manager in maximizing profits by effectively driving sales, managing stock, and controlling expenses according to the budget. Qualifications

  • Matric or equivalent

  • Three to five years of retail experience as a Shop Assistant

  • Computer literate

  • Strong communication skills

  • Additional qualifications related to retail or business are advantageous

  • Exceptional customer care skills and the ability to engage with customers effectively

  • Accurate and efficient till operation skills

  • High standards of work on the sales floor, with a commitment to maintaining quality and housekeeping standards

  • A proactive approach to taking initiative and getting the job done

  • Understanding of the company’s visual merchandising strategy in terms of stock intensity and SKU availability

  • Flexibility to work retail trading hours

  • Knowledge of receiving procedures

  • Ability to maintain stockroom layout and specifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and maximizing profits

  • Support merchandise management and ensure stock loss management procedures are followed

  • Provide financial assistance and execute financial plans

  • Handle administrative tasks and management duties

  • Support stock holding and ensure adherence to company policies

  • Assist in human resources-related activities
