Pepkor is seeking a dedicated Supervisor to assist the Store Manager in driving store profitability by increasing sales, managing stock, and controlling expenses within the set budget. If you have the skills and experience to excel in this role, we encourage you to apply.

Qualifications

  • Matric or equivalent

  • Three to five years of retail experience as a Shop Assistant

  • Computer literacy

  • Good communication skills

  • Additional qualifications related to retail or business are an advantage

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

  • Strong customer care skills with the ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers

  • Proficiency in accurate and efficient till operation

  • High standards of work on the sales floor, with a commitment to maintaining quality and housekeeping standards

  • Willingness to take initiative and complete tasks proactively

  • Excellent attendance and punctuality record

  • Commitment to applying company values, policies, and procedures consistently

  • Understanding of the company’s visual merchandising strategy, stock intensity, and SKU availability

  • Strong planning and delegation skills with the ability to lead a team effectively

  • High level of personal integrity and a strong work ethic

  • Ability to tolerate high-pressure situations and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work within shopping center trading hours

  • Understanding of the receiving process

  • Ability to maintain stockroom layout and specifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the manager in maximizing profits and achieving sales targets

  • Support merchandise management and adherence to stock loss prevention strategies

  • Provide financial assistance and execute store operations efficiently

  • Oversee administration and management duties

  • Ensure proper stock holding and adherence to company policies

  • Assist with human resources and team development tasks
