Main Purpose of the Role
The Supervisor will oversee daily operations, ensure quality service delivery, manage team performance, support continuous improvement, and build strong working relationships with both internal teams and clients.
Key Duties & Responsibilities

Supervise and guide staff on daily operational tasks

Ensure all work assignments are completed accurately and on time

Train team members on work instructions and operational procedures

Support employees in troubleshooting and problem resolution

Monitor service quality and ensure compliance with KPI targets
-
Manage active exceptions and escalate critical issues when necessary
-
Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the Control Tower
-
Develop strong client relationships and understand their requirements
-
Ensure adherence to DSV processes and SOPs
-
Collaborate with operational teams to achieve consistent service levels
-
Analyse and interpret commercial documents
-
Conduct monthly KPI meetings and drive cross-functional teamwork
-
Understand and resolve complex client issues involving multiple departments
-
Maintain strong product and process knowledge within freight forwarding
-
Identify risks and communicate effectively with Management
Minimum Requirements
-
Matric (Grade 12)
-
BCom in Logistics / Supply Chain Management (advantageous)
-
Minimum 6 years’ experience in freight forwarding or logistics
-
Strong knowledge of Supply Chain processes
-
Advanced analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
-
Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities
-
Excellent communication skills in English

Proficiency in MS Office and Office 365 applications
