Lactalis is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Synchronisation Manager (Supply Planning) to join our team in the Western Cape. This critical role forms part of our Supply Chain Planning division and is responsible for managing one of our six key product categories. You will work closely with our Demand Planning and Manufacturing teams to ensure optimal stock levels are achieved and maintained through an effective stock build strategy.
The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of short- to medium-term production plans, as well as oversee the replenishment of inventory across regional distribution centres. A strong focus will be placed on minimising out-of-stock scenarios while reducing waste and improving supply chain efficiency. This position requires a continuous improvement mindset and a proactive approach to developing sustainable supply planning processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities

Develop weekly and monthly production plans aligned with overall stock build strategy, incorporating factors such as production capacity, maintenance schedules, forecast accuracy, customer service, and waste reduction.

Manage replenishment plans for regional distribution centres to ensure adequate stock levels while addressing space constraints and minimising product waste.

Foster strong collaboration between industrial and commercial functions by implementing clear processes and communication channels.

Drive service excellence through the support of On-Time-Delivery and On-Shelf-Availability objectives.

Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives within the assigned product category, contributing to the overall efficiency and sustainability of the supply chain.
Qualifications and Experience Required

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (e.g., Industrial Engineering, B.Com Logistics).

5 to 8 years of relevant experience in a supply chain planning or logistics environment.

Proficiency in Excel VBA, Power BI, Qlik Sense, SQL, or Python is highly advantageous.

Experience in project management will be considered an asset.

Excellent interpersonal skills to facilitate effective cross-functional collaboration.

Ability to work independently and maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
