Cashbuild Vacancies – System Sup – Maake

Cashbuild is seeking a dependable and experienced System Sup to oversee and manage all Point of Sale (POS) operations, Cash Office functions, and related administrative tasks. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and operational efficiency.

Job Purpose
Supervise all POS transactions, ensure the integrity of cash handling and banking processes, maintain system and operational compliance, and lead cashier staff to uphold service excellence.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 with at least 5 years of relevant experience or a minimum of 10 years’ related work experience

  • Proficient in English and the dominant language spoken in the store’s area

  • Strong numerical and administrative skills

  • Excellent customer service track record

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Computer literacy is essential

  • Previous experience as a Cashier is required

Key Responsibilities

Point of Sale and Customer Service

  • Ensure all POS transactions, including credit and debit card payments, are completed accurately and efficiently

  • Assist customers with queries, complaints, and product information

  • Provide professional and courteous service at all times

  • Maintain availability of necessary POS materials and consumables

Cash Office and Banking

  • Manage store floats, petty cash, change orders, and vouchers

  • Ensure daily cash-ups are completed accurately for all POS and back office terminals

  • Process all back office transactions such as bulk deposits, special transactions, charge cards, loyalty cards, and returns

  • Monitor cash pick-ups and verify CIT collections with a second designated employee

  • Maintain accurate records of all cash and banking transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly

Operational Readiness

  • Implement and monitor Ready for Business processes

  • Ensure the Cash Office is clean, organized, and used exclusively for its intended purpose

  • Maintain filing of all Cash Office-related documentation, keeping it neat and current

People Management

  • Ensure cashier presence and coverage during operational hours

  • Provide training, support, and supervision to Cashiers

  • Monitor and manage cashier scheduling, leave, and availability

  • Oversee performance, ensure adherence to company policies, and maintain proper dress code

  • Facilitate product knowledge training in coordination with the Store Manager

Safety and Security Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to OHSA safety standards within the POS and Cash Office areas

  • Enforce password security and restricted access to the Cash Office

  • Oversee safe handling and secure storage of all keys and cash-related documentation

  • Maintain vigilance for suspicious activities in and around the store
