Job Description:

Main Purpose of Job:
The Talent Acquisition Consultant will manage and coordinate the recruitment process for designated departments while also administering exit interviews to ensure smooth transitions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Matric or equivalent

  • HR Qualification (Degree/Diploma)

  • Minimum 4-7 years of recruitment and selection experience

  • Valid Driver’s License

Job Requirements & Other Attributes:

  • Computer literate (MS Office, Outlook, and Internet)

  • Sound knowledge of labour legislation

Internal Clients:

  • Referees

Duties:

  • Ensure Employment Requisitions are completed correctly and assist managers as needed

  • Compile detailed job descriptions based on the completed staff requisition

  • Create internal and/or external advertisements from the job description

  • Place ads in appropriate media and on notice boards

  • Review CVs and identify candidates with relevant experience

  • Conduct telephonic interviews when applicable

  • Schedule interviews with candidates who meet job requirements

  • Conduct competency-based interviews and prepare a shortlist

  • Perform criminal and reference checks on successful candidates

  • Interview shortlisted candidates in collaboration with Line Management

  • Discuss competencies and select the most suitable candidate with the Line Manager

  • Prepare and send offer letters to the successful candidate

  • Notify unsuccessful candidates with regret letters

  • Compile engagement paperwork for the successful candidate, including Employment Contract, Annexure A and B, and Personal Information forms

  • Complete weekly recruitment reports

  • For re-employments, gather application forms, motivational letters, and previous employment details, including disciplinary and attendance records

  • Conduct exit interviews for resignations in the relevant departments and ensure they are completed within 48 hours of receiving resignation documents

Performance Standards:

  • Complete the recruitment process within 60 days of receiving a signed requisition

  • Ensure job descriptions meet requirements as set by the Line Manager/HOD

  • Advertise internal/external job posts simultaneously for 1 week

  • Complete criminal and reference checks before making an offer of employment

  • Ensure that contracts and Annexure B align with the approved Employee Requisition and that documents are submitted to payroll on time

  • Update the recruitment report showing all vacancies in the relevant departments
