Fidelity Services Group is currently recruiting for a skilled Technical Mechanic based at our Durban Office. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform electrical and mechanical work on security and risk-related systems, particularly within Cash-in-Transit (CIT) vehicles and associated equipment.

Minimum Requirements

• Clear criminal record

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical or maintenance roles

• Experience with Bulugaya Systems is an advantage

• Able to work independently without supervision

• Knowledge of a variety of vehicle types

• Familiarity with cameras, biometrics, and electric fencing systems

• Valid driver’s license required

• Diesel mechanic background is essential

• Understanding of CIT vehicle systems

• Auto electrician experience is highly beneficial

• Own transport is advantageous

• Willingness to travel and work extended hours when necessary

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in vehicle security systems

• Replace or repair vehicle system wiring as needed

• Conduct general maintenance on OTC vehicles, including lock replacements and responding to vehicle breakdowns

• Complete relevant documentation for each vehicle serviced

• Replace faulty keypads and perform maintenance on security components

• Perform air conditioning repairs and other related technical duties
