Fidelity Vacancies – Technical Mechanic – Durban

Job Description
The position is available at the Durban Office. The primary responsibility of the Technical Mechanic is to perform electrical work on security and risk-related equipment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Clear criminal record.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • At least 5 years of experience in technical/maintenance work.

  • Experience with Bulugaya System is advantageous.

  • Ability to work unsupervised.

  • Knowledge of various vehicle types.

  • Familiarity with cameras, biometrics, and electric fences.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Diesel mechanic experience.

  • Knowledge of vehicle systems for CIT vehicles.

  • Own transport is an advantage.

  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours when required.

  • Experience as an auto electrician.

Job Specification (not exhaustive)

  • Diagnose electrical issues and troubleshoot vehicle security systems.

  • Perform checks and replace necessary wiring in vehicle systems.

  • Conduct general maintenance on OTC vehicles, including replacing faulty locks and handling vehicle breakdowns.

  • Complete necessary paperwork for each vehicle.

  • Replace broken keypads.

  • Perform general maintenance tasks and repair air conditioning units.
