Dischem Vacancies – Travelling Beauty Therapist – Sandton

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking an experienced Travelling Beauty Therapist for their Sandton stores. In this role, you will be responsible for raising awareness about the range of skincare and body treatments offered at Dis-Chem Beauty Salons. You will play a key role in ensuring proper client liaison and care while performing various beauty treatments.

Minimum Requirements:

Essential:

  • Grade 12 / Matric

  • 2-year relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy

  • At least 12 months’ technical/practical experience in a professional beauty salon environment

  • Computer literate

  • Strong numerical skills

  • Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous:

  • 3-year relevant National or International Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy

  • Minimum of 3 years’ technical/practical experience in a professional beauty salon environment

Job Description:

  • Deliver an outstanding salon experience to customers

  • Perform facials, waxing, massages, manicures, and pedicures in accordance with Dis-Chem standards

  • Address customer queries, complaints, and compliments, providing feedback to management

  • Stay updated with the latest products, treatments, and service techniques

  • Manage stock levels to meet the needs of Dis-Chem Salons

  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in an operational and sanitary condition

Competencies:

Essential:

  • General knowledge of skin anatomy, physiology, and contraindications for skin/body treatments

  • Strong command of the English language (written and oral)

  • Team player with excellent customer relations skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Advantageous:

  • Experience with soft laser treatments, Bio-Magnetic therapy, microdermabrasion, slimming treatments, and spray tans

  • Additional training in laser or other salon equipment

  • Bilingual

Special Conditions of Employment:

  • Willing and able to work retail hours

  • Willing and able to travel to and from the store

  • Physically fit to perform massage, facial, and body treatments

  • South African citizen

  • Clear credit and criminal records
