Job Purpose
The Temp Assistant Accountant – Sanulac is responsible for supporting the creditors function through the completion of routine clerical and accounting activities. The role ensures accurate validation and verification of payments made to suppliers, proper consolidation and capture of supporting documentation in line with established procedures, and the timely monthly reconciliation of accounts.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Accounting degree or relevant tertiary qualification

• Previous experience in a financial or accounting function is advantageous

• Knowledge of BPCS will be an added advantage

• Strong interpersonal skills with clear and effective communication

• High level of accuracy with strong attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

• Knowledge of processing import creditors is advantageous

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform three-way matching and processing of supplier invoices

• Reconcile vendor accounts and prepare documentation for creditor payments

• Follow up on account queries through interaction with factory, head office staff, and suppliers

• Support the month-end process, including preparation and posting of journals

• Complete balance sheet reconciliations for selected accounts

• Assist with ad hoc financial reporting and related accounting tasks as required
