Job Overview
Fidelity Vacancies is seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to ensure the efficient and effective management of the regional fleet. The role is responsible for maximising vehicle availability, reliability, and utilisation through data-driven analysis, strong operational control, and close collaboration with business stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

Relevant degree or three-year diploma in Fleet or Transport Management

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in fleet and motor vehicle assessment or management
-
At least 5 years’ experience at middle management level

Valid driver’s licence

Advanced computer literacy including MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet-based systems

Strong financial acumen
-
Proven people management experience with a focus on employee engagement and development
Key Performance Areas

Monitor fuel consumption and provide detailed feedback to management
-
Authorise procurement and cancellation of fuel cards
-
Analyse supplier fuel reports to verify accurate consumption
-
Conduct sample checks on vehicle monitoring systems to identify excessive idling
-
Collaborate with management to implement fleet best practices
-
Implement and enforce all fleet SOPs
-
Plan and manage procurement of capital assets, including leased vehicles
-
Authorise consumables, servicing, and maintenance activities for the region
-
Oversee asset management and fleet registers
-
Implement three-quote procurement processes
-
Work closely with Finance to monitor expenditure and invoicing
-
Support budget preparation and ongoing cost control
-
Promote zero-harm initiatives and ensure employee health and safety compliance
-
Ensure full legal compliance of the fleet

Manage accidents, insurance processes, and investigations
-
Reduce vehicle downtime and off-road incidents
-
Plan and manage vehicle auctions and disposal processes
-
Schedule and monitor preventative maintenance programmes
-
Ensure timely installation of tracking units, protective equipment, and vehicle branding
-
Identify and address fleet risks, challenges, and improvement areas

Manage all vehicle-related customer complaints
