Beauty Assistant – Clicks Group Careers

Job Purpose
Deliver exceptional service by providing professional and knowledgeable advice on beauty and skincare products, managing merchandise effectively, and maintaining high standards of housekeeping to build customer loyalty and drive sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Consult with customers, answer product-related questions, and guide them in selecting products and services that best meet their needs.

• Drive sales in the beauty department through promotion, cross-selling, and up-selling, ensuring monthly targets are consistently achieved.

• Monitor sales performance, evaluate product success, and provide suggestions to improve offerings and increase sales.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all beauty products, ranges, trends, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers.

• Execute all operational activities within the beauty department efficiently, including stock management, minimising shrinkage, and maintaining housekeeping and administrative standards.

• Ensure visual merchandising, in-store presentation, and promotional standards are consistently met.

• Deliver superior customer service by acting as a brand ambassador, remaining visible, and providing a friendly and professional experience.

• Promote the Clicks Clubcard and enroll new members to achieve participation targets.

• Support profitability and brand loyalty through the promotion of private label and exclusive products.

• Contribute to making Clicks the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by living and driving company values.

Minimum Requirements

• Essential: Grade 12

• Desirable: Relevant beauty or skincare qualification

• Desirable: Experience in beauty, skincare, retail, FMCG, sales, or marketing environments

Skills and Knowledge

• Understanding and application of selling principles

• Retail/FMCG experience with knowledge of merchandising and promotional strategies

• Stock management and inventory control knowledge
