Main Purpose
To lead the development and execution of MTN Mobile Money strategy and value propositions. Drive optimal pricing structures to ensure profitability and manage the overall MTN MoMo brand strategy across ATL, BTL, and TTL channels. Provide actionable insights through analysis of customer behavior, channel performance, market competition, and macro-environment factors.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy and Implementation

Develop, maintain, and implement a comprehensive pricing framework and methodology.

Build and manage tools and models to assess MTN’s value drivers and provide analytical support for strategic decisions, including major investments and new product pricing.

Optimize value propositions by developing competitive, segmented pricing strategies.

Validate strategic assumptions for business cases to ensure alignment with MTN’s Business Plan.

Innovate in pricing, bundling, and packaging strategies to enhance market competitiveness.

Collaborate with business units to develop business models and planning frameworks.

Ensure pricing strategies are clear and attractive to target customers through coordination with Product Managers and Marketing Communications.

Conduct market analysis, track competitor performance, and provide recommendations to preserve and expand market position.
Brand and Media Management

Develop and execute integrated brand and media plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Lead brand research, consumer insights, and market analysis to shape brand strategy.

Ensure consistent messaging, brand integrity, and effective touchpoints across all channels.

Manage end-to-end brand campaigns, content creation, and marketing collateral.

Implement initiatives to enhance brand awareness, perception, and loyalty, tracking key performance metrics.

Guide media strategy, evaluate proposals, and optimize spend by target segment.

Coordinate with agencies and media partners, managing contracts, SLAs, and campaign timelines.

Improve efficiency of brand marketing processes and provide strategic insights to executive teams.
Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Commerce, or related field.

Postgraduate qualifications advantageous.
Experience
-
5–7 years in business analytics, pricing, market research, financial modeling, or product evaluation.

Experience supervising or managing teams in medium to large organizations.

Prior experience in the mobile or telecom industry preferred.

Proven ability to influence management-level stakeholders.
