Job Overview
Fidelity Vacancies is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee multiple operations and ensure exceptional security service delivery. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this role is responsible for managing Operations Managers, maintaining strong client relationships, overseeing HR and IR matters, fleet and expense control, investigations, and ensuring the effective deployment of Security Officers in line with contractual and site-specific requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- PSIRA Grade A registered
- Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the security industry
- At least 5 years’ experience in an operational security management role
- Working knowledge of the Firearm Act and firearm competency requirements
- Proven staff management experience
- Computer literate with advanced knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite
- Clear criminal record with no pending cases
- Strong planning, administration, interpersonal communication, and client liaison skills
- Excellent leadership and organisational capabilities
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems and requirements
Key Performance Areas
Client & Service Management
- Maintain strong professional relationships with clients regarding security services rendered
- Manage allocated areas to ensure all contractual obligations are met
- Continuously assess service levels and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery
Operational Oversight
- Ensure all Security Officers meet client and contractual requirements
- Provide general management and supervision of security personnel to maintain performance standards
- Ensure effective posting and deployment of Security Officers across all sites
HR, IR & Administration
- Address all HR-related queries promptly and effectively
- Formulate and manage disciplinary actions when required
- Ensure the timeous submission of all employment and administrative documentation
- Manage and resolve IR matters in accordance with company policies
Reporting & Investigations
- Submit accurate weekly and monthly incident and operational reports to management
- Investigate incidents and compile detailed reports
- Maintain sound knowledge and application of ISO 9001:2008 management systems
Management & Liaison
- Liaise daily with operational management and Regional Management on key operational matters
- Provide guidance, leadership, and support to Operations Managers
