Job Overview
Fidelity Vacancies is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to support and enhance our HR operations. This role covers the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and benefits management, ensuring alignment with company objectives and labour legislation.
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric or equivalent
- HR Qualification (Degree or Diploma) advantageous
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in recruitment and selection
- Valid driver’s licence advantageous
Key Skills & Attributes
- Computer literate (MS Office, MS Outlook, internet)
- Strong knowledge of labour legislation including BCEA, LRA, COIDA, EEA, and BBBEE
- Solid understanding of HR practices and policies
- Familiarity with recruitment platforms and HRIS systems
- Attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Key Responsibilities – Administration
- Provide HR support and guidance to employees across all HR matters, reflecting company values and objectives
- Ensure 100% compliance in onboarding, internal appointments, and employee record management
- Manage benefits administration, including provident fund exits, claims, and employee awards
- Maintain HRIS system to ensure accurate employee information
- Prepare and submit monthly payroll inputs and HR reports (PSIRA, Promotions, Umsuka, etc.)
- Support departments with UI19 processes and SASSA applications
- Facilitate smooth onboarding and induction processes for new employees
- Respond to ad hoc employee HR queries and walk-ins
- Advise, implement, and monitor HR policies and practices within the region
- Assist with HR filing and document management
- Drive HR projects as required
Key Responsibilities – Recruitment
- Support recruiters in placing job ads across appropriate channels
- Review CVs and identify candidates with relevant experience
- Conduct telephonic screening and coordinate interviews with line managers
- Participate in competency-based interviews and shortlist candidates
- Prepare documentation and offer letters for successful candidates
- Send regret letters to unsuccessful candidates
- Assist with compiling onboarding packs and engagement paperwork
Performance Expectations
- Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with labour legislation
- Deliver efficient recruitment and onboarding support
- Provide timely HR support and reporting to management
- Contribute to HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement and operational efficiency
