The Local Manager Butchery is responsible for leading and supervising the Butchery department. This role involves planning, organizing, directing, motivating, controlling, and providing hands-on operational support to ensure the Butchery meets its division and overall company objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in butchery
Competencies
- Expertise in cutting, packing, manufacturing, and merchandising all butchery products
- Proficient in operating all butchery equipment
- Ability to deliver friendly and professional customer service
- Strong passion and product knowledge for butchery items
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- High energy levels and strong work ethic
- Exceptional personal hygiene and commitment to workplace hygiene standards
- Solid understanding of food safety and safe work procedures
- Customer service focused
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure outstanding customer service within the Butchery
- Oversee product preparation, cutting, and packing
- Manage effective merchandising and presentation of butchery products
- Maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards in the department
- Perform administrative tasks and reporting as required
- Drive sales and profitability
- Lead, coach, and motivate the Butchery team to achieve performance goals
