Finance Supervisor – Truworths Careers

Truworths is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Supervisor to join our Expense Creditors team. The role involves leading the team, optimising departmental processes, and ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely accounts payable operations while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of Expense Creditors staff.
• Support day-to-day accounts payable operations, ensuring invoices are processed efficiently and accurately.
• Review and validate processed invoices and GL distribution for accounting and reporting accuracy.
• Build and modify payments in Oracle Financials and monitor weekly and monthly payment runs.
• Manage month-end accounts payable close processes to meet deadlines.
• Review monthly supplier reconciliations and resolve supplier queries promptly.
• Manage YDE designer payments.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Matric plus a Finance qualification.
• 3–5 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Experience in finance within a retail environment advantageous.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, supervisory capacity preferred.

Competencies

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Oracle Financials.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to resolve queries accurately and on time.
• Effective team player with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Able to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage tasks independently.
• High attention to detail with a positive attitude and energy.
• Ability to multi-task efficiently and focus on key objectives.
