Job Description

Job Objectives:

  • Drive and maximize store sales, ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly targets are achieved while taking proactive action when required.
  • Oversee all operational activities including expenses, stock management, shrinkage control, housekeeping, and administration.
  • Manage in-store execution of visual merchandising, maintaining presentation and promotional standards aligned with the brand image.
  • Develop and motivate employees through effective leadership, management, and ongoing development to meet current and future business needs.
  • Schedule staff according to Group labour policies to ensure each department is appropriately resourced.
  • Handle administrative responsibilities efficiently, ensuring accurate time, attendance, and employee records are submitted to HR.
  • Implement customer service initiatives to enhance the customer experience, build loyalty, and drive club card participation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with centre managers, suppliers, and distribution centres to achieve business objectives and maximize opportunities.
  • Monitor customer trends, demographics, and competitor activity to capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Foster cohesion and integration between store operations, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
  • Promote a high-performing business culture that delivers employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
  • Support the Group’s vision to be the customer’s first choice health and beauty retailer by living and promoting company values.

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of financial management principles
  • Retail/FMCG experience with merchandising and promotions expertise
  • Knowledge of stock, cost, risk, and compliance management
  • Customer service excellence
  • Labour legislation and industrial relations practices
