Job Description

Job Objectives:

  • Drive the store’s financial performance by maximizing sales, tracking daily, weekly, and monthly targets, and taking proactive action to achieve results.
  • Manage all operational activities efficiently, including expenses, stock control, shrinkage, housekeeping, and administration.
  • Ensure high standards of visual merchandising and in-store presentation to maintain the brand image and promotional compliance.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate employees to build capability, ensuring the team meets current and future business needs.
  • Schedule staff in line with Group labour policies to ensure departments are fully and appropriately resourced.
  • Oversee administrative tasks, including accurate time, attendance, and employee records submission to HR.
  • Implement customer service initiatives, resolving issues to enhance the customer experience, loyalty, and club card participation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with centre managers, suppliers, and distribution centres to achieve business goals and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Monitor customer trends, demographics, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Foster integration and collaboration between store operations, pharmacy, and clinic teams.
  • Promote a high-performing business culture that drives employee engagement, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
  • Support the Group’s vision of being the first-choice health and beauty retailer by living and promoting company values.

Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding and application of financial management principles
  • Retail/FMCG experience with knowledge of merchandising and promotions
  • Expertise in stock, cost, risk, and compliance management
  • Customer service excellence principles
  • Labour legislation and industrial relations practices
  • Competency-based interviewing
