Job Purpose:
Ensure service excellence at the point of sale by delivering fast, efficient customer service and effectively managing point of sale (POS) operations.

Job Objectives:

  • Direct and manage all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure safe and effective management of stock and cash, minimizing shrinkage and maintaining high standards of housekeeping and administration.
  • Train, motivate, and supervise shop assistants and cashiers to deliver service excellence consistently.
  • Maintain sufficient staffing of shop assistants and cashiers in line with work schedules, company policies, and labour legislation.
  • Resolve customer queries efficiently in line with company policies.
  • Promote the Clicks clubcard to achieve participation targets.
  • Enforce security measures, cash controls, returns policies, and administrative procedures to minimize stock losses and maximize point-of-sale security.
  • Act as a brand ambassador by providing visible, friendly, and professional customer service.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, ranges, promotions, and events to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Support Clicks’ vision as the customer’s first-choice health and beauty retailer by living and promoting company values.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Essential: Grade 12
  • Desirable: Maths 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level
  • Essential: Relevant Retail/Business Management qualification (for external applicants)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role overseeing employees within retail/FMCG store operations
  • Numeracy and stock management experience
