Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets in modern trade and manage key retail accounts with excellent in-store execution.
- Plan and optimize sales routes, conduct sales meetings, and manage route performance.
- Monitor and control discounts, pricing, and marketing activities to ensure effective execution.
- Supervise the promotions team and deliver weekly sales reports.
- Collect and report competitor information to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop and implement sales and promotional plans to drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, merchandisers, and key account managers.
- Track stock levels, drive product availability, and prevent out-of-stock situations.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key customers to ensure alignment and growth.
- Manage sales across multiple channels including wholesale, away-from-home, forecourts, and modern trade.
- Support customers and address inquiries or concerns to maintain service excellence.
- Use data-driven insights to optimize sales strategies and performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum: Matric with Certificate or Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management.
- 3–5 years’ relevant experience in FMCG sales.
- Strong knowledge of modern trade environments and sales strategy implementation.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in SAP (DSD, MM, SD) and Microsoft Office.
- Business planning, vendor management, and budgeting skills are an advantage.
- Code 10 valid driver’s license.
