Job Description
Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is seeking a skilled Special Events Manager to join our Marketing Department in Polokwane. Reporting to the Regional Sales Execution Manager, this role is responsible for developing and executing a Special Events plan that drives brand relevance, supports revenue growth, and enhances market presence.
Key Purpose
Develop and implement a Special Events strategy aligned with business objectives to increase brand visibility, market share, and revenue.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Brand and Commercial teams to implement the national special events plan within the region.
- Work with Sales Execution and Commercial teams to develop a regional annual special events plan and budget aligned to business strategy.
- Review and update regional and national plans to maximize ROI.
- Drive execution of the events plan through the Special Events team, ensuring compliance with event standards and requirements.
- Establish frameworks by event type or category to ensure execution aligns with company guidelines and standards.
- Maintain and develop stakeholder relationships that add value to brand and revenue.
- Identify market event opportunities to enhance brand presence and revenue exposure.
- Monitor and manage allocated budget to ensure effective cost control.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal requirements for all special events.
- Compile and present reports detailing product categories and market impact of special events.
- Manage and maintain special event assets, including coolers, vehicles, and branding materials.
- Monitor adherence to execution standards for special event customers and activities.
- Coordinate training and provide on-the-job coaching to strengthen Special Events capabilities.
Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant formal qualification in Sales, Marketing, Public Communication, or related field.
- 5–7 years’ experience in Sales and/or Marketing roles.
- Experience in event management or experiential marketing is advantageous.
- Computer literacy, including MS Office proficiency.

- Company policies, procedures, and business systems
- Product knowledge and business objectives
- Market execution standards, customer service standards, and distribution systems
- Awareness of competitor trends and market dynamics
