About the Program
Value Logistics is seeking a hands-on Project Manager to oversee and execute projects across the Logistics division and related areas. The role requires full ownership of project content, timelines, and outcomes, ensuring alignment with operational objectives and business goals.
Purpose of the Job
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that objectives are met on time, within scope, and in line with organisational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage projects, including process improvement and operational initiatives
- Collaborate with IT and operational teams to execute projects successfully
- Achieve measurable business outcomes through structured project management methodologies
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, task assignments, and milestones
- Schedule project tasks and estimate completion timelines
- Assign roles and responsibilities to project tasks and team members
- Monitor project progress, report status, and escalate potential issues
- Ensure all tasks are completed on schedule and project objectives are achieved
- Handle project administration, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, recording minutes, and tracking action points
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all project activities
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing timely updates and feedback
Project Related Tasks
- Analyse business and operational processes to support project outcomes
- Gather and document business requirements for project implementation
- Draft process flows, solution-oriented documentation, and operational guidelines
- Present findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
- Conduct research and investigations as required for project execution
General
- Perform general administrative tasks to support project operations
- Maintain housekeeping standards for project documentation and workspace
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management beneficial
- PMI certification preferred (CAPM or PMP)
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience
