About the Role:
The Freight Forwarder, Air Export, Sky Services is responsible for managing and processing all air export documentation and ensuring shipments are handled efficiently from booking to delivery. This role requires strong organizational skills, industry knowledge, and effective client communication to support smooth air freight operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 3 years’ experience as an export controller in air freight exports
• Proficient in CargoWise1 or similar systems
• Experience processing AWBs, SAD500s, and other export documentation
• Understanding of air freight industry practices and operational requirements
• Geographical knowledge and familiarity with airline routines and capabilities
• Strong organizational, leadership, and persuasive skills
• Ability to liaise effectively with clients via phone and email
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends
• Detail-oriented, able to work under pressure
• Own transport required

Qualifications:

• Matric (essential)
• Tertiary qualifications advantageous

Computer Skills:

• Office 365 (Teams, OneNote, Forms, Outlook), MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Intermediate to Expert)
• CargoWise1 or similar system (advantageous)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process and issue all air export documentation, including AWB, SAD, Phytosanitary Certificates, PPECB, COO, and others
• Make airline bookings according to rate agreements
• Liaise with clients via email and telephone, providing shipment updates
• Maintain and update booking lists and daily shipment tracking
• Plan daily warehouse and shipment schedules
• Coordinate with the warehouse for deliveries and collections
• Ensure timely and accurate communication with clients and internal stakeholders
