Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies in Midrand is seeking an experienced Brand Manager to drive brand growth across the organisation. The role ensures that products, services, and product lines align with customer needs while strengthening brand presence, performance, and commercial impact.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- 5–8 years’ experience in Marketing and Brand Management
- Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, promotions, sales, stock management, and reporting
Advantageous:
- Previous management experience within a retail environment
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Implement sales and brand strategies at store level in line with industry standards
- Ensure compliance with industry legislation when developing and executing strategies
- Review brand strategies regularly to assess effectiveness and optimise sales performance
- Champion the brand internally to ensure alignment with brand goals and values
- Drive effective implementation of promotional activities
- Conduct market research to track customer trends and anticipate future opportunities
- Analyse marketing campaign performance and compile insights-driven reports
- Review financial performance, monitor budget variances, and implement corrective actions
Stock Control
- Monitor stock levels and sales performance to ensure optimal availability in stores
- Recommend store orders based on historical sales and demand forecasts
- Maintain stock levels within set targets, including during promotional periods
Branding
- Manage branding material, including maintenance, storage, and ordering of indoor and outdoor branding
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines, style guides, brand vision, and value proposition
- Design and implement in-store signage programmes with consistent messaging
Product Launch
- Deliver internal and external presentations for new product launches and campaigns
- Maintain strong relationships with distributors and suppliers
- Create and manage promotional collateral to support product branding
- Oversee selection, ordering, and distribution of informational and promotional materials
