Job Description
Ensure exceptional customer service within the store. Responsible for merchandising stock, accurate shelf price labelling, and maintaining cleanliness and order in the designated area of responsibility.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 10 or NQF 3 with 1 year of relevant work experience, or Grade 12 without work experience
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and the dominant local language
• Valid South African ID or work permit
• Basic numerical skills for accurate calculations
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure

Key Performance Areas

Customer Service

• Assist and advise customers on products and queries
• Resolve customer complaints professionally

Merchandising Standards

• Merchandising bulk stock safely according to store layout
• Maintain area of responsibility according to store planograms

Housekeeping

• Ensure aisles are clear of obstacles and safe for customers
• Merchandised stock immediately after receipt
• Accurate shelf price labelling within assigned area
• Complete daily checklists for canteen and toilet/shower schedules

Safety (OHSA) Compliance

• Adhere to safety requirements, including use of protective gear
• Ensure stock is merchandised safely for customers and colleagues
• Report safety or stock discrepancies to the Store Manager

Stock Loss Management

• Report damaged stock promptly to the Store Manager
