Job Description
The Hybrid Sales Representative is responsible for sourcing and selling armed monitoring, armed response agreements, and electronic security solutions to new and existing customers. This role focuses on achieving and exceeding sales targets while building lasting relationships within the security and property markets.
Main Purpose of Job
- Source and sell armed monitoring and armed response agreements to potential customers.
- Promote and sell alarm system upgrades, additions, CCTV systems, and electric fences.
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets for both new customers and hardware sales.
Qualification & Experience
- Previous sales experience with a proven track record, preferably in capital goods sales.
- Knowledge of intruder detection systems (IDS, DSC alarms) is advantageous.
- Matric or equivalent.
Job Requirements & Attributes
- Self-motivated and energetic with a strong hunter mentality for new business.
- Excellent selling, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Computer literate (MS Office, email, internet).
- Presentable and of sober habits.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
- PSIRA Grade C advantageous.
- Aptitude for electronic and technical equipment (alarms and monitoring platforms).
Key Duties
- Generate and close self-sourced deals.
- Follow up on leads received internally and via telesales.
- Sell security solutions to new and existing clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with estate agents, builders, and architects.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.
- Maintain all administrative duties related to sales.
- Stay motivated to achieve and exceed sales targets.
Performance Standards
- Achieve revenue and new client acquisition targets.
- Maintain high-quality relationships with existing estate clients.
- Ensure timely follow-up on all leads and quotes.
