About the Role
Pepkor Vacancies is looking for a dedicated Store Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of the store. The role focuses on driving sales, managing staff, implementing store strategies, and delivering an exceptional shopping experience through product knowledge, stock availability, visual merchandising, and excellent customer service.
Qualifications
- Grade 12
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- 1–2 years’ management experience in a retail or similar environment
- Computer literate
- Strong leadership and staff management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Business acumen with attention to detail and accuracy
- Time management, problem-solving, and resourcefulness
- Customer service orientation and relationship-building skills
- Confident, decisive, and resilient under pressure
- Passionate about the brand, fashion-conscious, and social media savvy
- Team player with a proactive and motivated approach
Key Responsibilities
Staff Management & Development
- Recruit, train, supervise, and appraise store staff
- Lead, motivate, and manage the team to achieve sales and operational goals
Sales & Profitability
- Maximise store profitability and set/achieve sales targets
- Develop store-specific action plans to minimise stock loss
- Manage budgets including P&L and payroll
Operations & Administration
- Maintain accurate statistical and financial records (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Manage inventory, stock control, and store equipment security
- Ensure health and safety compliance for customers and staff
Customer Experience & Visual Merchandising
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve queries or complaints
- Oversee visual merchandising and housekeeping to maintain store standards
- Stay up to date with fashion trends and ensure product availability
